Fishing is Fun! Matt. 4: 19

Fishing is fun! Fishing success varies. Maybe many...maybe none! Sometimes mom will be realistic: "I'll have hamburger ready when you get back." Meaning, you may bring back no fish. Nothing is more frustrating to return from a fishing trip to have to settle for hamburger.
A true follower of Jesus never has to settle for hamburger in evangelism. Jesus says, "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of Men." Matthew 4:19

Reflection for Easter

If Jesus had not really risen from the dead, would the disciples have preached in the power of the Lord's resurrection?

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

The Loaves & Fishes Matt. 14: 15-21

My Dad was a great cook, famous for his delicious biscuits. He was very proud of their flavor and that people wanted to eat them by the dozen.

My Mom was a fine first grade teacher, but her biscuits were not masterpieces. Once, when I was about twelve, Dad told Mom "I'm going to bake a batch of biscuits that will taste so good that our son will eat over twenty of them!" By the time I was eating biscuit number twenty-three, Mom was so furious that I felt I had to stop eating for the sake of peace in the family...

Never stop at twenty-three! Follow your Lord Jesus all the way to Psalm 23:6 and live in the house of the Lord forever!...Even at the presence of your enemies! Come to the Banquet!
